On July 28 and 29, Drake visited Washington D.C. for the 18th and 19th stop on his It’s All a Blur Tour with 21 Savage. However, these turned out to be more than just a couple of ordinary shows for the Toronto rapper. Just a few days following his visit to Capital One Arena, Touring Data announced on Monday (August 1) via Twitter that Drake made $5.032 million for each of the two arena shows, making them the two highest-grossing arena concerts ever by a rapper.

In a second tweet, Touring Data did all the math for these two nights, officially reporting that Drake sold out the venue with 34,303 tickets at an average price of $293.40. This makes Drake and 21 Savage’s total revenue for July 28-29 a whopping $10,064,416.

This news come just three months after Touring Data announced that Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem’s 2022 Big Steppers Tour officially became highest grossing rap tour ever. Earning $110.9 million from the 929,000 tickets it sold, the Big Steppers Tour played over 70 shows worldwide. While Drake still has dozens more performances to give on the It’s All a Blur Tour, which will only see him travel in North America, it would not come as a surprise if he was able to sneak up on Lamar’s record.
Regardless, the It’s All a Blur Tour has been incredibly eventful thus far, as it takes place in the midst of Drake preparing for his tenth studio album For All The Dogs, yet to be given an official release date. Since he hit the road in early July, Drake has seen vapes and bras thrown on stage, has brought out J. Cole and Meek Mill, has confirmed a Nicki Minaj feature on his upcoming LP, has dissed Childish Gambino, and much more.
