The Head and the Heart Unveil Fall 2023 Tour Dates

Indie-folk outfit The Head and the Heart are hitting the road again this fall. Beginning October 18, the extensive headlining tour will stop at clubs, theaters, and outdoor amphitheaters across the U.S.

The band will kick things off with a performance in St. Augustine, Florida, before continuing to 24 cities, including Atlanta, Louisville, Memphis, and New Orleans. They’ll be joined by Amanda Shires, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, and Yoke Lore on select dates of the tour.

This new stretch of performances will follow the band’s upcoming co-headlining tour with Father John Misty, which begins on August 4 in Salt Lake City and wraps up on August 22 with a stop in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Head and the Heart have kept a steady presence on the touring circuit since the 2022 release of their reflective fifth studio album, Every Shade of Blue. The Seattle-based band formed in 2009 and inked a deal with Sub Pop Records just months later.

Their 2010 self-titled debut album was well received by fans and critics, positioning alongside acts like Mumford and Sons, Fleet Foxes, and The Lumineers, who helped cultivate a larger space for pop-infused folk in the mainstream.

It’s unclear if The Head and the Heart are gearing up to release new music while they’re out on tour. More than a year after its release, the band is still riding high on the success of Every Shade of Blue, which peaked at No. 21 on Billboard‘s Folk Albums chart.
