Carrie Underwood continues the Denim & Rhinestones journey with the deluxe edition. On Friday (September 22), the superstar dropped an updated version of the album containing six new songs, three of which had already been released: “Out of That Truck,” “Take Me Out” and “Give Her That.”

Additional track “Drunk and Hungover” finds her stuck on a past love, unable to move on from the fiery passion that lived between them as she sings, I can’t get high on your love, and still be hung up on him/I can’t be “baby come over” wonderin’ where he is/I can’t be wakin’ up on your shoulder, dreamin’ about him at night/I can’t be drunk and hungover at the same time.
Meanwhile, she finds herself caught up in the “Damage” of a chaotic relationship that left her with a broken heart that can’t be fixed with a shot of whiskey and cheap words. Wanna unbreak it, wanna take it/Try to make the pieces fit together back into one/Oh, the damage is done, she professes in the chorus.

The album closes with a live version of the Dolly Parton-inspired “She Don’t Know” recorded during her Denim & Rhinestones Tour. “Out of That Truck” is the current single off the album following “Ghost Story” and “Hate My Heart.”
When Underwood embarked on her headlining tour in 2022 and 2023, she donated $1 from every ticket sold to Tunnels to Towers Foundation. The effort resulted in more than $420,000 being raised to provide mortgage-free homes to injured veterans and families who’ve lost a loved one in the line of duty. “I’m so proud of the fans that came out to the tour and making this donation possible,” Underwood said in a statement. “They have always shown up to support great organizations like Tunnel to Towers, making the world a better place while coming out to see us.”
The powerhouse singer has returned to Las Vegas for a string of dates on her REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World Theatre in September, November, and December 2023. The show has extended into 2024 with dates in spring and summer.
